The food is amazing but you gotta get there for lunch during the week because there's no dinner or weekend service.

When's David Portnoy going to come by and give it a score is always what I think of when I eat here. Delicious pizza at an unbelievable value at 6.50 a slice and when I say slice I mean a small pizza anywhere else. Absolutely love this place.

Best pizza in Sactown. Decent price and the pizza is so good when the chef hands it from the oven and gives it to you, tomato sauce mixed melting chess with a crispy crust is the perfect combination. I eat 3 times (2 slides/per each) per week. It's a must-try when you pass by.

Joe’s Pizza pepperoni slice in New York City tastes very much like 8th Street Pizza in Sacramento. Very good flavor and crust.

It’s hard to find a pizza joint where the vested owner is hands-on, but this establishment is one of them. Fast, friendly service and authentic NY-style pizza—not too spicy, not too sweet, just right. The cheese was 100% real, fresh Parmesan, and the crust had the perfect balance of crispy and chewy. All-around perfection! I give it a solid 10 and a big thumbs up. The owner even gave me a free Coke—just a great experience overall.

To me, this is one of those spots where you'll definitely miss it if you don't know what you're looking for. Or if you're wandering around aimlessly at night, happen to be hungry and happen to cross paths with this joint and notice it’s open, you're in for a treat! Ever since I tried my first slice of NY style pizza in NY (thank you Scar's pizza) I've been in search for if one exists in Sac. With a mural for its sign and a neon open sign, you'll walk in to a small and intimate seating area. I've visited two times in the past 2 days because I couldn't get enough of the pies! When I visited, it was already pretty late in the night (9pm - 10pm) and the man working mentioned they're open until about 2am on Fridays. The wait was longer than expected but it was a welcomed experience to just slow down, sit down and enjoy the ambience as he whistled while he worked.

Pizza taste great! Salads taste great! Never got to try the sandwiches yet. I hope to try soon. Started working around the corner about a month before they shut down for the holidays. (I hope it’s just for the holidays) can’t wait till they’re open again. Amazing food!
